BMW Charging is your personal all in one solution providing full convenience & transparency. After registering once, you can access the BMW Charging network using the BMW Charging Card, via the My BMW app or simply by plugging in your all-electric BMW**. Your BMW Charging details can be found in your BMW Charging Dashboard via our website or the My BMW App. Once per month we will send you an aggregated invoice detailing your public charging history.

Can I charge my vehicle abroad?

Yes, our service provides access to one of the largest charging networks in Europe, which is available across borders. This allows you to charge your vehicle at any charging station within our network, regardless of the country you are in.

How does the charging app work?

The My BMW app is designed to be easy and intuitive for users to manage their charging sessions and related features. After logging in, you can access a variety of functionalities to enhance your charging experience.

Find and filter charging stations
You can view a wide range of available charging points on the map.
Filters allow you to search for specific types of stations based on your preferences, such as connector type, charging speed, and location.
Start and end charging sessions
Start a charging session by simply selecting the station and following the prompts within the app.
You can also end a charging session directly through the app when you're finished.
View account and contract details
Access all your account and contract information in one place.
Track your usage, view your current contract details, and monitor your charging history.
Create favorites
Save frequently used stations or features by adding them to your favorites for quick access.

How can I use the BMW Charging Card?

The BMW Charging Card is your physical authentication tool for charging your vehicle at our charging stations. To use it:

When you arrive at a charging station, simply hold your charging card up to the card reader. This action will allow you to start or stop the charging session.
To find stations that support charging card authentication, you can apply the relevant filter for such stations in the My BMW app or on our BMW Charging website.

** Starting from the BMW i5, many fully electric BMW models will be equipped with the Plug & Charge feature. All you have to do is plug your vehicle into a Plug & Charge-capable charging station – and that’s it. Charging starts automatically. You can also retroactively make your BMW i7 Plug & Charge-capable. Please contact your local sales advisor about this.
*** Thereafter it runs for an indefinite period and can be cancelled by the customer with effect to the contract qualifying date. The contract qualifying date is the day of a month preceding the day equivalent to the date the package was booked. For example, if the bp pulse package was booked on the 7th day of a month, the contract qualifying date is the 6th day of the following months. In case the respective date is non-existent in a particular month, the contract qualifying date is the last day of that month.
**** Thereafter it runs for an indefinite period and can be cancelled by the customer with effect to the contract qualifying date. The contract qualifying date is the day of a month preceding the day equivalent to the date the package was booked. For example, if the IONITY package was booked on the 7th day of a month, the contract qualifying date is the 6th day of the following months. In case the respective date is non-existent in a particular month, the contract qualifying date is the last day of that month.
